Mini-UBOC starts April 10th, big excitement starts now.

I’ve covered a lot of UBOC events over the years, but I’ll never forget my first. I was assigned to cover Mini-UBOC during UBOC 5 while our full-time championship blogger Gene handled the big boy series.
I’ll be the first to admit it. I was jealous at first. But when the series kicked off, my perception of the whole mini angle changed.
“Mini” was really just talking about the buy-ins. Mini-UBOC seemed just as big, just as exciting and just as rewarding as the larger schedule it was mirroring. Yeah, the buy-ins were tinier, but the fields were just as talented and the action across the board was just as intense.
I walked away from covering the series realizing that the Mini-UBOC name was deceiving. This thing was huge and anyone who witnessed the guarantees consistently eclipsing what was promised by tens of thousands in pretty much every event would agree.
And if you don’t remember Mini-UBOC, you have another chance to find out what all the big fuss is about in a week. On April 10th, Mini-UBOC returns in its own standalone series.
Yup, for the first time ever – EVER – UB is separating Mini-UBOC from regular-size UBOC and bringing smaller stakes players their very own championship series.
It kicks off on April 10th and runs until the 17th – and despite the mini name, the series looks huge. We’re talking 27 events spread out over eight days with a final $100k Guaranteed Championship Event that only costs $75 to get into.
Mini-UBOC also has contests that pay out tourney seats and Event Dollars. And there’s even a $12k WSOP prize package in the mix.
Overall, $650k is on the table and satellites into the 27 events are now live so check the schedule and come own the felt.
